In what has been labeled by many political commentators as the greatest flipflop in Gambian politics, Citizens leader Dr Ceesay has said that “President Adama Barrow was better than the rest of the candidates in the 4th December 2021 presidential election.”
Dr Ceesay who became famou for labelling President Barrow as “clueless” is now trying to sanitise his inconsistency with an explanation that critics have labeled “ridiculous”.
The man who has been teaching young Gambians political science at our top university, UTG, now says that he was young and did not understand the dynamics of our politics when he ridiculed President Barrow.

It could be recalled that Citizens’ Alliance former National President, Dominic Mendy had accused Dr Ismaila Ceesay of receiving vehicles from President Barrow and secretly campaigning for him in December presidential election.
Dr Ceesay now admits facilitating a vehicle for his party supporters to campaign for Barrow after he flatly denied having anything to do with Barrows reelection.

Muhammed Camara had this to say:
“I just finished watching Dr Ismaila Ceesay’s interview on KERR FATOU. Shocking and disappointment is an understatement. An aspiring presidential candidate, Shamelessly sat on a national platform to deceive, lie and spin is just beyond me!
“Here’s a man who, In 2017, Claimed the president of the republic was CLUELESS and and lacked the INTELLECTUAL PEDIGREE to steer the affairs of this country.
“Fast forward 2021, just few months in the run up to the presidential election raised some serious charges that the president will rig the election. That the election will not be free, fair and credible. Jeh? Few days before the election, the same gentleman clandestinely sneaked in to the State House, endorsed the same person who he felt was clueless and what not, collect some Vehicles from him and handed them to some individuals to campaign for that person he once branded as clueless! What an irony.”
For top lawyer and UDP member Yanks Dabo, who labels him as “THE YOUNG AND NAIVE POLITICAL DOCTOR”; he hopes the CA leader “is able to look into the eyes of many struggling Gambian families today or the recent flood victims, or victims – whose houses were recently demolished by Physical Planning, and confidently boast to them that electing Barrow has succeeded in registering progress in their lives.”
“The young and naive Dr. Needs to realise that education is not all about titles, but about one’s ability to learn, understand and inspire! The good Dr. seems to be lacking those traits in his practice of his field of expertise!!!” Yanks asserted.
