In a recent appearance at a Kerr Fatou platform, Dodou Jah stated that the APRC would put up a candidate in the upcoming mayoral election at the KM.

Jah was quite assertive and made it clear that the APRC’s position on putting up a candidate is non-negotiable.

Now former aspirant for KM Mayor, Pa Njie Girigara has also issued a message berating Dodou Jah for making such a brazen statement knowing very well that the APRC is part of the pro-Barrow Alliance.

Njie accused some members of their alliance of refusing to campaign for the NPP candidates in the recently held parliamentary election. He then asked the APRC to issue a formal rebuttal and distance themself from Dodou Jah’s statement.

Mr. Njie asserted that the NPP-led alliance will put up candidates for mayor in Banjul as well as KM and therefore it is premature for Dodou Jah to make the kind of statements he made in the media.

Observers have noted that this might be the beginning of a fight that could break the back of the pro Barrow/NPP Alliance.
