Amid on the reports of alleged food scarcity at The Gambia College school of education, Basse Campus, top Businessman and proprietor of SK Jaiteh and Sons, Mr Salifu K Jaiteh has donated food items worth over twenty thousand Dalasis to students living in the school’s dormitory.

The gesture was received by the institution’s coordinator and student Union President on behalf of the students.
“After hearing the news of students going to bed hungry, I was shocked ; while expressing optimism that such a timely gesture will serve a purpose for the needy students in the interim” Mr Jaiteh said.
The donated food items include twelve bags of rice, a gallon of 20 liters oil, bag of onion and potatoes.
Mr Jaiteh said, “we are in a difficult moment and extending helping hands to most vulnerable people in the society is much needed today more than ever before.
Receiving the gesture on behalf of the Students; Mr Ceesay applauded the top businessman and diplomat for such a kind and timely gesture, saying he believes it will go a long way in helping the needy students.
