Dear Government of the Gambia

I am writing to express my deep concerns about the current state of affairs in the Gambia. The country, which is known for its hospitality as the “smiling coast of Africa,” is now facing a critical issue with surging crime rates. Foreign perpetrators are targeting our citizens, leading to devastating consequences for our community.

Furthermore, there is a growing sentiment of frustration and disillusionment with the government’s handling of crucial matters. It appears that the focus has shifted towards self-enrichment and political maneuvering, while the welfare of our citizens is increasingly neglected. The pervasive presence of corruption and political concerns has led to widespread suffering and a significant decline in the quality of life for the people of the Gambia.

As we approach the upcoming election, it is imperative that we collectively strive for impactful change within the country. The time has come to address these pressing issues and to prioritize the safety and well-being of our citizens. I implore the government to take urgent and decisive action to curb crime rates, root out corruption, and redirect their focus towards serving the needs of the people.

It is my hope that this imminent election will serve as a catalyst for positive change and a renewed commitment to the prosperity and security of the Gambia and its people.

Sincerely,
Ebrima Jeng
