The Physical Planning Department  is currently demolishing a property at Jabang housing estate in the west coast region believed to be owned by one Sheriffo Darboe.

In a letter, department of physical planning urged Mr Sheriffo Darboe to demolish his property saying he blocked water ways failure of which; they will carry out the demolition at his cost.

In a Facebook post one Sainey Fatty stated “you can’t just go on to conduct a demolition exercise without better procedural measures by way of damage assessment, compensation terms and proper eviction plan for already existing structures”.

According to Mengbe Kering, the reason of the demolition is; because he built his house on water ways.

Mr Darboe said; he got the land from social security and got all the necessary documents to prove his ownership.

However, the Department of physical physical said he erected his property without a development permit.
