The former National Campaign Manager of opposition United Democratic Party, Mr. Momodou Sabally has resigned officially from the Party to join the ruling party today.

The news sent a shocking wave among the UDP ranks who expressed frustration and disappointment over the decision.

“I have officially joined President Barrow to enhance and support his agenda. I am committed to serving the President and his NPP for the best interest of the country” he stated.

Mr Sabally expresses commitment to achieving the dream and wishes of the President through his unique politicking style.

“I am urging those who believe in me to join the President’s bandwagon, for sustainable development, peace and prosperity. I am quite sure there are people out who will join the ruling party even before I leave the statehouse today” he argued.

Many argued the decision would have some ramifications on Mr Sabally’s integrity after making relentless criticism against the ruling party during his time with the opposition.

However, Mr Sabally argued being in the opposition is always a criticism against the ruling party which he deemed normal hence, he insisted the move had no negative impact on his integrity.
