The opposition United Democratic Party recently faced some few major resignations that left their militants with frustration and disappointment.

Salifu Sonko an executive member of UDP diaspora has also stepped down as the Deputy Secretary General of the party in the Diaspora citing personal reasons.

Mr Sonko did not expound on his reasons but rather, thanked the party leadership for the moments he spent with the party.

In a facebook post, former Campaign Manager of UDP, Momodou Sabally wrote : “Another big plus for NPP – This is major league!
The youths are #happy”.
His post seems to suggest Mr Sonko is heading to the ruling party, NPP.
